Logistics and forwarding system for OS Logistic

PROBLEM

In search of an advantage

OS Logistics, a company operating in the difficult, highly competitive logistics industry, contacted us looking to gain a technological edge over its competitors.

The management decided to differentiate the company in the market competition with a modern system for handling forwarding and logistics processes. The solutions we prepared helped to achieve this goal quickly.

At the beginning of our cooperation, we agreed with the client that our goal was to create a system that:

1 / COOPERATION MODEL

Common objective, common effort

From the beginning, we assumed that we define the concept of cooperation as the result of joint efforts to achieve the set goal.

The fact that the client accepted the role of an active participant in this process, whose expectations would evolve during the project, and whose substantive comments and guidance would continually bring the project closer to achieving its objectives allowed us to adopt a collaborative model based on agile methodology.

A dedicated team was assigned to the project, consisting of the following:

The entire project was divided into sprints, in which the system’s functionality was created and developed iteratively.

2 / FIRST STEPS

Alpha version

As a first step, we created for the client a system equipped with the general functions adopted in the project assumptions, allowing for improved communication and management of the company’s processes.

3 / AGILE

Next iterations

The use of Agile methodology in the project allowed for the ongoing verification of previous assumptions and the identification of new needs and opportunities so that each iteration allowed for the functionality to be extended and better adapted to the company’s processes and user requirements.

4 / FINAL TOUCHES

One step ahead

This approach not only allowed us to avoid mistakes but also led (and still leads!) to systematically update the system by enriching it with other operational modules.

The final element of the base version of the project was to make it available (in a limited access version) to the company’s contractors and partners (i.e. customs agencies, carriers, shipowners, etc.). For this purpose, dedicated we prepared modules for each contractor group.

OS4B has become a dynamic, modern system, streamlining the company’s internal processes, constantly adapting to the needs of the industry and going beyond its standard methods of managing forwarding processes.

“The cooperation went smoothly, and the product itself grew and evolved before our eyes. As a result, we received a professional, individualized, advanced and, at the same time, intuitive product that optimizes processes in our company.”
